A man was shot dead while playing pool at a bar on Rua Dulce, in Vila Muriqui, Mangaratiba district, on the Costa Verde of Rio, on Tuesday night (14). The victim was identified as Agnaldo Junior Ateniense Mendes.

The crime occurred inside the establishment, where the victim was playing pool. An armed man, wearing a helmet, entered the premises and shot Agnaldo, known as Júnior. He was hit by several shots, including in the face, and died instantly. The shooter fled and has not yet been identified.
