San Jose, CA - Police said they believe they might have a suspect in connection with a South Bay liquor store robbery on June 16.

The Santa Clara County Sheriff's department has identified Justin Johnson as a person of interest, and they are seeking the public's help in finding him.

The robbery happened near Bascom and Stevens Creek Boulevard in an unincorporated part of San Jose.

He was shown on surveillance video arguing with the clerk and then throwing liquor bottles at him.

The clerk fought back, going after the suspect with a garden tool. But the man ended up beating the clerk to the ground.

That is when a customer stepped in and pulled the attacker off, but the suspect got away.

The clerk suffered minor injuries.
