A video shows Ciaran O'Driscoll being attacked by three men - including one armed with a bolt cutter - as horrified tourists looked on.

His attackers, who were all masked, then fled on a motorbike.

Gardai were tonight trying to track down the bike.

Investigators are trying to establish if the attack is linked to the Kinahan and Hutch feud.

O'Driscoll was tonight being treated in hospital after suffering injuries to his head and body.

"He's hated in the north inner city because of his involvement in the plot to kill Patsy."

O'Driscoll was released from prison last year after he was convicted over a plot to kill Patsy Hutch in March 2018.

He received a five-year sentence after he acted as a lookout for the hit team who were arrested by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
