Two men died in an accident in the early hours of Sunday (16), on BR-428, near Serra da Santa, in Petrolina , in the Sertão region of Pernambuco. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), it is suspected that a truck was leaving a gas station to enter the highway when a cross-collision occurred with a motorcycle that was traveling on the road.

The motorcycle driver and passenger did not survive their injuries and died at the scene. The truck driver was not injured. He took a breathalyzer test, and the result showed that he had not consumed alcohol.

After the accident, the truck driver was taken by the Federal Highway Police to the Civil Police Station in Petrolina to provide information.
