A transgender activist has been arrested after the Oklahoma House of Representatives passed a bill banning "gender transition procedures" for minors. House Bill 2177, introduced by Representatives Kevin West and Jim Olsen, prohibits medical professionals from providing or attempting to provide a referral for puberty blockers, sex change hormones and gender reassignment surgeries for minors.

This legislation is intended to protect children from those who would seek to profit from their gender confusion. Transgender activists reacted violently to this decision, and one even physically attacked a police officer, who then had to use force to arrest him.
