Two motorcycle passengers lost their lives after being run over while riding in the restricted lane of the Mexibús Line 2 on 30-30 Avenue in the municipality of Ecatepec.

The tragic accident occurred on Monday morning, when a couple was traveling on a motorcycle on Avenida Revolución, known as 30-30, heading toward Vía Morelos. When they reached the San Juan Alcahuacán neighborhood, just below the vehicular bridge, they were allegedly hit by a car.

After the impact, the man and woman fell from the motorcycle onto the restricted lane of Mexibús Line 2, where they were run over and dragged by an articulated unit.

The body of the woman who was dragged was destroyed, while the man was left on the side of the confined lane.

The couple was traveling on a yellow motorcycle with license plates 6463A9 from the State of Mexico.

Municipal police and paramedics arrived at the scene and confirmed that the couple no longer had vital signs.

The area is cordoned off while the Public Prosecutor's Office arrives to certify the events that occurred and order the removal of the bodies.

The road is heavily loaded with vehicles, so traffic police asked motorists to avoid driving in the area.
