Emanuele Cani, Regional Minister for Industry of Sardinia, fell down the stairs of Palazzo Piacentini and smashed through an artistic stained-glass window of inestimable value with his head.

The destroyed window was not a simple architectural element, but rather the "Carta del Lavoro" (Charter of Labour), a work by the Futurist master Mario Sironi, installed in 1932 when the palace housed the Fascist Ministry of Corporations.
