A large rockslide crushed two trucks on Saturday that were traveling along the Central Highway of Peru, in the province of Huarochirí, department of Lima. It is reported that the event left no fatalities, but two were injured. In addition to damaging vehicles, the avalanche destroyed sections of the highway. While authorities investigate the incident, it is believed that recent rains could have contributed to destabilizing the soil.
