A tragedy shocked residents of the Sol do Cerrado neighborhood, in Luís Eduardo Magalhães, in western Bahia, on Wednesday afternoon (08), around 4 pm. A man is accused of killing his own wife, setting fire to the victim's body and then being found lifeless inside the couple's residence.

According to information gathered at the scene, the crime occurred inside the property, and there are indications that there was a physical struggle between the couple before the murder. During the act, the accused allegedly cut the victim's hair.

After killing his partner, the man allegedly used gasoline to set the young woman's body on fire.

Residents reported hearing screams and cries for help coming from the house. Upon arriving at the property, they found the young woman (victim) lying between the kitchen and the living room, while the man was lying behind the front door.
