A man stabbed his own father to death, and then beheaded him with a cleaver, on Tuesday morning (19) in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte state. The deceased was identified as Wanderli who was aged around 60.According to the Military Police, teams were called by local residents and came across the suspect - 31-year-old Victor. - fleeing near the campus of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). Victor was carrying his father's head in a backpack.Victor resisted arrest and threw fireworks at the police - he was shot in the leg in return. His backpack also contained a gallon of gasoline, and the knife used in the murder. In an interview with a journalist, Victor claimed it was self-defence, as his father was attacking him.According to Wanderli's niece, Victor had a history of violence and drug use, and his entire family was afraid of him. He was homeless, would regularly go missing, and he had recently set fire to his father's upholstery workshop. Wanderli went as far as to move to a condominium to feel safe.
