Oaxaca.- A National Guard agent lost one of his hands after he was attacked with a machete during a fight in the city of Huajuapan de León, in Oaxaca.

The events occurred around 5:00 in the afternoon on Saturday, February 24 on Juárez Street, when the national guard had a fight when he was on his day of rest.

Giovanni Omas CE, 36 years old, got into the altercation when he got out of his blue Volkswagen vehicle with a bat to confront another man, who approached with a machete and attacked him, amputating his left hand.

The uniformed attacker fled the area without being arrested. The agent was transported by helicopter to receive medical attention at the Central Military Hospital in Mexico City.
