In-car camera captures moment when mysterious object flies through car window and hits truck driver in the head, seriously injuring him, causing the truck to lose control and crash off the road on Chonburi bypass road.

On September 26, 2014, footage from a surveillance camera inside a truck captured the moment when a mysterious object crashed through the windshield of the truck, hitting the driver's head with great force, causing the driver to lose consciousness. The truck, which was speeding, lost control and hit the side of the road, then plunged into a canal beside the road.

The incident occurred on the Chonburi bypass road, heading into Bangkok, Tambon Ban Suan, Amphoe Mueang Chonburi. At the scene, a 6-wheeled truck with a closed container was found with the front of the truck badly damaged and lying on its side in a canal beside the road.

The inspection found that Mr. Atthapong Thapthimthong, 42 years old, the driver of the truck, was still in a dazed state, could not remember anything when asked, had a fractured skull, and a crushed skull. Rescue workers rushed to provide first aid before taking him to Chonburi Hospital.

From inquiries, Mr. Sakmongkol Senji, assistant manager of the 6-wheel truck company, who traveled to inspect the damage, it was learned that the truck had received goods from Laem Chabang Port and was delivering them to Suvarnabhumi Airport. When he arrived at the scene, he was not sure what had happened, but he used the front camera and the camera inside the cabin to open it and found that the mysterious object had come flying from the front of the truck and hit the driver's head, causing the driver to lose consciousness and fall asleep, causing the truck to lose control and swerve before falling into the canal beside the road.

Initially, it is expected that it may have been a rock or an iron bolt, but it is not known which direction it came from. We must wait for the police to come and inspect the traces and find out what caused it.

While the police are searching for the suspicious object in the car to investigate what it is and will request to see additional CCTV footage from the area where the incident occurred to see who threw the object or which car it came from in order to proceed with legal action.
