Two police officers have been hailed the perfect team after chilling bodycam emerged of how the pair captured a knife-wielding man during a routine noise complaint incident.

PCs Hannah Jones and Justin Harrold were confronted by Jan Olav Kvaerneng-Stolp, who stormed out of his house wielding a kitchen knife with an 8-inch blade, when they responded to a complaint call in Graig Avenue, Llanelli, Wales, last month.

In the bodycam footage released by the Dyfed-Powys Police, PC Jones knocks on the door in the back garden and quickly raises her voice when she sees Kvaerneng-Stolp holding a large knife above his head and aggressively shouting at her.

Jones quickly radioes to the local constabulary and yells: "Get away from me! Put the knife down! Now!"

She takes out a baton while taking a few steps back to create distance but Kvaerneng-Stolp lunges towards her while brandishing a knife.

Her partner, PC Harrold, runs to her aid and fires his incapacitant spray, causing Kvaerneng-Stolp to drop to the ground.

Kvaerneng-Stolp was arrested and later convicted of affray and sentenced to an 18-month community order and 200 hours of unpaid work at Swansea Crown Court, police said on Tuesday.
