The military policeman, Lucas Torrezani, who killed his neighbor after 3 am on Monday (17), after shooting the victim – the musician Guilherme Rocha – overturned his glass of beer. Images from the internal circuit of the Flamboyant condominium, where the crime took place, in Jardim Camburi, show that the PM did not act in self-defense and his arrest was determined by the Civil Police.

Lucas, 28 years old, was sent by military police to the Vitória Regional Police Station, heard by the police authority, and released. However, due diligence made the Civil Police back down and decide to arrest him.

“During the course of the day, through investigations, hearings and diligences, it was verified that the case was not one of self-defence. Immediately, the Civil Police made a request for temporary arrest for the crime of aggravated homicide of the perpetrator and awaits the decision of the Judiciary”, said in a note to PCES, which also informed that, in contact with the Internal Affairs of the Military Police, it determined compliance joint imprisonment.

In a video released by the head of the PCES, delegate José Darcy Arruda, the soldier's action was criminal. "At the time of the facts, the delegate on duty had no information for the arrest in the act, but the images we saw that there was no self-defense and the arrest of the author was requested"

The Capixaba Military Police explained that they received a call and that the manager of the condominium where the crime took place reported that Guilherme Rocha died. In the images it is possible to see that, while soldier Lucas Torrezani was in the garage area consuming alcohol, armed and accompanied by other people, the victim goes down the stairs and leaves, with his hands behind him, talking to people. They already argue with the intimidating soldier with the gun in his hand.

According to PMES, the military man himself, a resident of the condominium, presented himself as the author of the shooting and handed over the weapons. “He reported that he was close to the entrance door of the block in which the victim resided and that the victim advanced on the PM to try to disarm him, when the policeman fired a shot at the man, causing him to die still on the spot” , said in a note to PMES.

After shooting the man, who even ran and fell with his back to the shooter, with the gun pointed and seeing the victim on the ground, soldier Lucas drinks beer from his glass in his hand – a liquid that was found when the military garrison arrived to the place -, which remained with him throughout the crime, before acting to rescue Guilherme.

“The PM reported that he called Ciodes to report the fact and also called SAMU. The soldier's gun was under the responsibility of the Civil Police, being delivered to the 1st Regional Police Station along with three porters, where the soldier was taken”.

The Military Police informs that, through its Corregedoria, it is monitoring the investigations of the DHPP. The pertinent administrative measures in the military sphere will be adopted.
