officers responded to 911 calls of a MAN ARMED WITH A MACHETE to the front of a business at the corner of Highland and Sepulveda Avenues. Upon arrival, they located him and gave him commands to drop the weapon. He refused and repeatedly demanded officers "Shoot him".

Officers tried verbal de-escalation with no success. Eventually, officers deployed a single shot from a less lethal shotgun, knocking the weapon right out of his hand. He was taken into custody, and the machete was recovered.
