Multiple arrests and a hospitalization resulted when a fight broke out at a Florida lake party dubbed “Mayhem at Lake George.”

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office shared aerial video of multiple party-goers engaged in fist fights near the DJ barge over the weekend.

“Like anything else you’re going to have knuckleheads to try to ruin everything and our job is to eradicate the knuckleheads,” Sheriff Mike Chitwood told FOX35 Orlando.

Sheriff’s deputies in Volusia County needed to medically evacuate a man after a fight on Lake George. The sheriff’s chopper pilot spotted an unconscious man bleeding from his head on the stage.

With help from some partygoers, deputies were able to get the man to the helicopter.

According to the report, deputies also arrested roughly 12 people, who were either involved in the fighting or suspected of alleged boating DUIs.

Authorities also issued eight citations and 50 warning, according to law enforcement.

The “Mayhem” party is an unsanctioned event that has been held on the lake on the first Saturday of every May, the station reported.

Volusia deputies along with our partners from MyFWC Florida Fish and Wildlife, Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Florida, Lake County Sheriff’s Office, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, County of Volusia Fire and the U.S. Coast Guard were on the scene.
