A man accused of dragging a Massachusetts State Police trooper with his car during a traffic stop in Brockton appeared in court Friday.Troopers stopped a car driven by Derek Lobo, 31, of Brockton, on Montello Street for motor vehicle violations on Wednesday, officials said.Dashcam video shows two troopers talking to the Lobo, who has his driver's side door open. Lobo drives as one of the troopers clings to the door.The trooper was able to free himself, get up and rush back to his cruiser to chase after the suspect.Lobo was arrested the following day at his home on Union Street. He faces a number of charges, including assault and battery on a police officer, operating without a driver's license and trafficking fentanyl.The trooper who was dragged suffered minor injuries.Lobo was arraigned in Brockton District Court and held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.
