An 83-year-old lady, waiting to use a pedestrian crossing, was killed when a collision between a car and scooter occurred at the intersection which sent the scooter airborne, striking the woman at speed.

She was treated at the scene but later pronounced dead at the hospital.

She lived so long for this to happen, very sad.
