April 5, evening, on the BR-104, between the cities of Toritama and Caruaru, in the Agreste region of Pernambuco. The collision involved a motorcycle and a bicycle, resulting in the death of one man and leaving two other people injured.

The fatal victim was identified as Renildo Pedro da Silva, 47 years old. He was on a bicycle and, while trying to cross the highway near a housing complex known as “casas da caixa”, was hit by a motorcycle occupied by a couple. The impact was violent and caused the immediate death.

The couple who were on the motorcycle, identified as Luan and Raíssa, were also injured. The woman was rescued by bystanders, while the man received first aid from SAMU. Both were then transferred to the Hospital da Restauração in the capital. Both are in stable condition.

The Federal Highway Police and the Institute of Forensics were at the scene to carry out the necessary procedures and investigate the causes of the collision.
