The former prosecutor of the Kagalnitsky district of the Rostov region, Sagit Akhmetov, who beat the lieutenant colonel of the Russian Guard half to death, will celebrate the New Year at home. The court placed the participant in the fight under house arrest until February 23, 2024. This was reported by the joint press service of the courts of the Rostov region.

Akhmetov had an argument with an officer at the London Pub in Rostov and, during a verbal conflict, hit him on the head. Doctors diagnosed the victim with a fracture of the temporal bone and a brain contusion. The lieutenant colonel of the Russian Guard was taken to the hospital, where it was established that he was sober at the time of the fight.

According to Russian State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein, on December 27, the former prosecutor was charged under the article of intentionally causing grievous bodily harm.

The deputy published a video of a fight in a Rostov cafe in which an officer was injured.
