A horrific tragedy occurred in Effiong Essang Street, Oron, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, on Monday, March 10. Victor Okoh, a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), was arrested after murdering his wife, Victoria Okoh, with a machete on suspicion of infidelity.

The incident was discovered early in the morning, around 5:20 a.m., when neighbors alerted the police after witnessing the bloody scene. Law enforcement quickly responded and found the mutilated body of the 38-year-old victim in front of their home.

Initial police investigations revealed that the 42-year-old suspect had violently attacked his wife. After committing the act, he attempted to flee but was found hiding in the ceiling of his home, where he was apprehended by police. The murder weapon, a machete, was seized at the scene.
