Two elements of the Municipal Public Security Secretariat who intended to arrest an individual made the decision to use their weapons to subdue him.

The events were recorded around 9:30 a.m. this Monday at the intersection of Abraham González and Juan Sarabia avenues in the Insurgentes neighborhood in the south of the city.

The injured man, who was identified as 17-year-old Manuel N, was fleeing from the police, so at one point he apparently took a brick with which he attacked one of the elements and after chasing him down a block he managed to catch up with him.

At that moment it is observed that the element, when defending himself from being hit with a broom, took the gun in his hands and fired it twice, injuring the minor in both legs.

The police officers immediately dragged the detainee and after approaching the patrol car, they took him to Belisario Domínguez Avenue, where finally ISSEA paramedics took charge of transferring him to the Hidalgo Hospital in serious condition.
