An uncontrolled tractor-trolley collided with several vehicles near the Sungarhi intersection on Sahawar Road in the Kotwali Ganjdundwara area of Kasganj at 6 a.m. on Monday. In this tragic accident, a cyclist died on the spot, while others narrowly escaped.

Eyewitnesses said that a speeding tractor-trailer loaded with sand and soil suddenly went out of control and first crushed a cyclist standing on the roadside. Then, the tractor hit an Eco car, in which more than half a dozen people somehow escaped unharmed.

The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Jaan Mohammad, son of Lal Mohammad, a resident of Sujawalpur village in Naya Basti. According to reports, Jaan Mohammad was on his way to work at the New Paras brick kiln in Samaspur on Monday morning by bicycle. He stopped near the Sungarhi intersection to buy bananas from a cart. A speeding tractor-trolley coming from behind hit him.

The tractor-trailer, moving forward, also struck a Swift car parked on the roadside. The impact was so severe that the Swift car slammed into a nearby shop and was suspended approximately 8 feet high. Fortunately, no one was inside the car at the time.

The deceased's two sons, Shadab (15) and Sajeev (13), live with their mother in Delhi. Upon learning of the incident, the family was devastated.

The incident was captured on CCTV camera

The entire incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera, the video of which has now surfaced. Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene, prepared an inquest report, and sent the deceased's body to the district hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police is searching for the accused

According to Ganjdundwara Kotwali in-charge Inspector Radheshyam, the deceased's body has been sent for post-mortem examination after filling out a Panchnama. Police have now seized the tractor-trolley and begun searching for the accused driver, and further necessary action is being taken.
