After spending several days fighting for his life in a health center, the death of Cecilio Antonio Marrero, 71 years old, was confirmed this Sunday, August 16. He suffered serious injuries after being attacked by two dogs in the Sabaneta sector, belonging to the Piar municipality of Bolívar state.According to information provided by his family, Cecilio died in a health center in Ciudad Guayana, where he had been transferred due to the severity of the injuries he suffered during the attack. He remained hospitalized for three days while receiving medical attention.Despite the medical team's efforts to stabilize him, Marrero's health deteriorated progressively due to the severity of the trauma and the infectious complications secondary to the attack, triggering his death last Sunday.This unfortunate incident has generated dismay among the inhabitants of the Sabaneta community and the Piar municipality, who are demanding that local authorities exercise greater control over the presence of potentially dangerous animals on the streets and determine the corresponding responsibilities towards the owners of the animals involved in the incident.
