Context:This was an iconic fight on Argentine television. The opponents were Mauro Viale (a journalist and television presenter of Jewish descent) and Alberto Samid, a businessman in the meat industry, politician, and chess player (of Syrian descent).Mauro invited Samid to his show to talk about the Argentine economy, and after disagreeing with him, he began to provoke him. Samid got fed up and started telling Mauro that he was rude and that he, Samid, knew who he was, while Mauro couldn't even say who he himself was. At one point, when Samid was about to leave, he agreed to answer one last question, to which Mauro said, "Did you endorse the AMIA bombing? (a terrorist attack that Hezbollah carried out against an Israeli embassy in Argentina in the 1990s). Samid had had enough and said that he could only expect to hear such "barbarity" from Mauro. After Mauro refused to take back what he had just said, Samid hit him and said, "How dare you say that, you Jewish son of a bitch?"As a curiosity: The old man who kicked Mauro was the janitor, and he did so because he and Mauro did not get along.
