Lifeguards fight to subdue a half-naked man wanted on a felony warrant who tried to run away from the cops by swimming into the ocean.The Los Angeles Police Department officers were in a foot chase with a suspect along the Pacific Coast Highway when he ran onto the beach, past the lifeguard stand, and into the water.The man was treading water a couple hundred yards off Will Rogers State Beach for about an hour and a half while officers waited on shore.LAPD and the lifeguards sent boats out into the water as they tried to safely apprehend the suspect.Lifeguards paddled out on surfboards and eventually grabbed the suspect in the water, threw flotation devices on him, and dragged him onto a boat.
