Happened on December 9, 2024, around 9:55 pm in Petrozavodsk, Karelia, Russia

Five young men (three of the identified as Matvey Tsarevich, Danil Vitalyev and Artur Uvarov) were driving down Klyuchevaya Street in Volkswagen Passat.

At the same time two men were driving in a Volvo truck in the opposite direction. One of the two - the driver identified as Pavel Butenev (42) - was drunk.

Suddenly the truck drove onto the oncoming lane and crashed head-on into the Passat. After that, the car also caught on fire.

Two men in VW - the driver (20) and one passenger (23) - died on spot. Two other passenger were taken to a hospital (one of the in a coma).

On December 10, the passanger who was in coma (18) died in the hospital. The second man (22) was diagnozed with a broken spine.

Fourth VW passenger (20) got lucky and only was wounded in the forearm and he refused hospitalization.

The two men from the Volvo were not injured. Both were arrested by the police.
