Jared McLemore was from what I know, was a very mentally ill person. From what I’ve been told his reason for self immolation was that his girlfriend, who he abused, had finally called it quits and broken up with him. So he poured kerosene on himself, and tried to chase his ex down in the bar she worked at to catch her on fire as well and kill her.
