A 34-year-old man dressed in a green dinosaur costume was arrested in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood after being spotted stealing packages last month.

On Oct. 11 at around 3 a.m., a man called 911 to report a man wearing a dinosaur costume had broken into his apartment building and stole multiple packages, according to Seattle police.

Officers responding to the call spotted the man who matched the description of someone wearing a "period-inaccurate green dinosaur costume carrying a backpack stuffed with other people’s mail."

Police said shortly after spotting the man riding a bike near Cal Anderson Park, he attempted to elude police before ultimately being arrested.

"Police arrested the 34-year-old dino-human hybrid and booked him into jail for two counts of burglary," Seattle police jokingly wrote in a press release.
