Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of the

Ayodhya Ram Mandir, passed away at the age of

83 on February 13, 2025. He was undergoing

treatment atthe Sanjay Sandhi Post graduate

Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow after a stoké.

Following the traditions of the Rarnanandi sect,

he was given a Jal Samadhi the sacred Saryu

River in Ayodhya. In thís ritual, his body was

immersed in the river with stones, symbolizing a

return to the divine.
