07.03.2025 - A Myanmar man was believed to have been hacked to death by a group of individuals using machetes in an incident at a nasi kandar shop in Taman Sepadu Jaya here, early this morning. The 38-year-old victim died at the scene after suffering serious injuries to his body and head as a result of being hacked in the incident at about 3.20 am. It is understood that the victim, who is also the manager of the nasi kandar shop, was approached by three masked men before they attacked him. The victim is said to have tried to escape, but collapsed near the shop due to the serious injuries he suffered.The forensic unit is conducting an investigation following the incident where a Myanmar man was hacked to death in an incident at a nasi kandar shop in Taman Sepadu Jaya, Tasek Gelugor. It is understood that all the suspects fled in a vehicle. The victim's body has been sent to the Kepala Batas Hospital for a post-mortem. Meanwhile, the North Seberang Perai District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Anuar Abdul Rahman, when contacted, informed that his party would issue a media statement regarding the incident.
