Despite that, their mission failed. The bomb triggered the internal security system of the vault, making the cash inaccessible to criminals. Afterwards, they tried to complicate the job for law enforcement by blowing off tires and throwing materials on the highway. A few of the gang members were later caught in pursuit, having been followed by a helicopter. The others have fled.
