York police are looking to identify two male suspects after a failed carjacking attempt in a Markham parking garage last month.

In a video shared by York police, a white Mercedes SUV enters a parking garage, followed by a four-door white Honda Civic. As the Mercedes backs into a parking space, the driver of the Civic waits patiently and then backs in beside the SUV. A woman seen leaving the Mercedes is then accosted by two men dressed in black.

According to police, the two suspects demanded the keys to her vehicle and a struggle took place.

Eventually, say police, the suspects fled without the SUV.

The woman was not seriously hurt, add police.

The attempt took place around 8 p.m. on Aug. 31 in the area of Enterprise Boulevard and Birchmount Road, say police.

The first suspect had a thin build and was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black mask and black sneakers.

The other suspect had curly hair, a thin build and a tattoo on his right forearm. He was wearing a black-hooded sweater, white T-shirt, black pants and white sneakers.
