In Ancón, a family celebration ended in tragedy after a tree used for a yunza collided with high tension cables, when being raised for the start of the festivity. Unfortunately, one person lost his life and four people were injured in the SME Association. According to initial information, the tree was decorated with gifts when it collided with the high-tension cable. The impact caused a strong electrical discharge that left the top of the tree on fire. According to preliminary information, a tanker truck was used to help lift this large tree that looked loaded with elements. Regarding this tragedy, the Coordinator of the deputy management of citizen security and disaster risk, Eng. Jorge Mena, pointed out that what could have triggered the accident were the gifts that were hanging from the tree, some made of aluminum materials such as pots, generating a direct discharge. It should be noted that According to the municipality of Ancón, all the people were evacuated by the National Police and taken to the Puente Piedra hospital.
