The bullfighters Arturo Macías López, 40, and José Guadalupe Adame, 34, have suffered serious gorings during the San Marcos National Fair that is being held these days in the city of Aguascalientes. Despite the impressive images that have emerged from the moment of the accident, the first reports on their state of health ensure that both are out of danger. Macías suffered a goring in his right armpit this Saturday that tore the muscles of that part of his body, for which he underwent emergency surgery at the Mac Sur hospital. Adame, who is commonly known by the name of Joselitosuffered a goring on Monday in the upper part of the left thigh that has not caused serious damage to the bullfighter, according to specialized media. The videos and images that have emerged of the accident were shocking. The bull’s charge launched Joselito at least three meters above the ground. Upon falling, the bullfighter was left unconscious and at the mercy of the animal, which attacked him two more times before the banderilleros arrived. These distracted the bull with their pink capes while a group of toilets took the bullfighter off to the infirmary. His representative, Juan Carlos López, informed the newspaper mundotoro that Joselito had a “clean and small” goring in the left calf, which does not report seriousness, and a more impressive one in the mouth, which has not affected important organs either.
