The office of the Inspector General has released bodycam footage where a suspect was shot by police after rushing at them with a knife in each hand. The man remains hospitalized in serious condition.

Bridgeport police received multiple calls reporting a man with a knife in the 200 block of Birdseye Street just before 6 a.m. Thursday.

Arriving officers found the man, called to him and he rushed at them with a knife in each hand. One officer tells the suspect, "Don't do it," before firing three times and hitting the suspect in the leg according to the Inspector general's report and the video.
