A homeless man was attacked in the centre of Prague on August 3, with CCTV cameras controlled by police able to record the footage and immediately direct police to the area.

Police believe the victim would have surely been beaten to death if CCTV did not detect the incident, and if police did not arrive. On that basis, the prosecution is pushing for attempted murder with a 20 year term.
