A cyclist died after crashing into a sound car during a cycling event in the city of Baianópolis , in western Bahia. The accident happened on Sunday (28), during the 6th Dubai Bikers MTB XCM Challenge, and was filmed by people watching the event.

In the video, it is possible to see that the cyclists were on their way to the finish line. They needed to pass the sound car, which was parked on the right side of the road, very close to the end of the race, considered the largest in western Bahia.

Jaiane Oliveira hit the vehicle and, with the impact, a speaker fell on top of her. In addition to her, a second competitor lost balance and fell after hitting the same speaker that hit the victim.

According to the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), there was a doctor and a nurse at the finish line, in addition to an ambulance that traveled the route with the athletes.

This medical team provided first aid to the victim, who was then taken to Baianópolis Hospital and did not survive injuries.
