A work accident occurred last Saturday (6/4) in the municipality of Ulianópolis, in the northeast of Pará, leaving a man injured. According to information obtained by the report, the individual had part of his leg torn apart by a piece of wood that was accidentally thrown by the machine, hitting his knee.

The man's name was not released, but images show him lying on the floor with part of his pants torn, where the piece of wood was still in his leg. The incident occurred in a locksmith shop in the region, but we were unable to contact them to obtain more information about the victim's health status.

According to labor laws, the main procedure that must be taken immediately by the company is the Communication of the Accident at Work. If this communication is not made, the contractor may suffer severe fines from the Ministry of Labor (MTE), in accordance with articles 286 and 336 of Decree No. 3,048/1999.

Art. 286 – Violation of the provisions of art. 336 subjects the person responsible to a variable fine between the minimum and maximum limits of the contribution salary, for an accident that he failed to report within that period.
