In late January,in Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC), in the middle of a war between the Congolese forces and the M23 armed group and its Rwandan allies, prisoners tried to escape by setting fire to their cells.

The armed forces fired at them.

The tragedy killed 181 people.

The prison reserved for women was burned down after many abuses .
