A councilor from the city of Querência, in Mato Grosso, shot at a fellow member of parliament during a session of the City Council. The moment was recorded by a surveillance camera at the site on Monday, 21.

In the images, the councilors argue and, after a few moments, professor Neiriberto Martins, who is also a military police officer, stands up and punches councilor Edmar Lucio Batista. When trying to go back, he slips, and he gets up, pulling out his gun and pointing it towards the man.

The Chamber of Querência released a note on the case, clarifying that there were no injuries, only a lot of running and fright by the people who were present and that a police investigation was launched to investigate the facts
