Police officers have captured José Samuel Aráuz Blandón, suspected of the shooting murder of his ex-partner Joseling Vanessa Rodríguez Argueta, 21 years old.

The crime occurred this morning in front of the health center in the municipality of Santa María de Pantasma, in the department of Jinotega, when the victim was walking down the street, when according to witnesses, she was intercepted by José, with whom she argued and subsequently shot her five times.

Upon hearing the explosions, the residents of the area tried to help the victim, taking him to the health center, but he died upon entering the center.

After committing the crime, José Samuel fled in a Hilux pickup truck and minutes later was captured in the municipality of Wiwilí, local media reported. Residents recorded on their mobile phones the moment when Aráuz quickly fled in the vehicle.

Witnesses reported that after an argument, Aráuz grabbed Joseling by the neck and shot her several times.

The young woman was left lying in a pool of her own blood and in one of the videos captured on mobile phones, the young woman can be seen looking around disoriented, which caused commotion among the residents.
