On the morning of Wednesday 24 May, a video was shot in Milan in which some local police officers beat a transgender woman, who was later immobilized on the ground. According to what was reconstructed by the Milanese newspaper Il Giorno , the police intervened at first because the woman was accused of shouting insults and threats outside a school. After an ambulance arrived, the woman was loaded into a car by the police, but she managed to escape. Local police officers quickly reached her and, as the video shows, they beat her using batons and spray, despite her appearing helpless on the ground.
