On the evening of August 18, leaders of Phuoc Binh ward People's Committee, Dong Nai city (formerly Phuoc Long town, Binh Phuoc province) confirmed that a gas cylinder explosion had occurred in the area, resulting in one fatality.

According to initial information, at noon on the same day, the Phuoc Binh Ward Police received a report about a workplace accident at a facility in Ward 1. The victim was identified as Mr. TQT (born in 1997, residing in Phuoc Binh Ward).

Reportedly, this facility specializes in buying used air compressors, repairing them, and reselling them. At the time of the incident, Mr. T. climbed up to inspect and repair an air compressor when it suddenly exploded with a loud bang

The powerful explosion threw the victim to the ground. Due to severe injuries, Mr. T. died instantly at the scene.

Currently, the Phuoc Binh Ward Police, along with other professional units of the Dong Nai City Police, are urgently examining the scene and investigating to clarify the cause of the incident.
