The National Police, through its Criminalistics units and the Directorate of Violent Deaths (Dinased) , is investigating who abandoned the head of a woman who was found on the morning of Wednesday, October 30, 2024, in the sector known as Las 5 Esquinas, in the Tosagua canton , in the north-central part of the province of Manabí.

The gruesome discovery was made by some citizens who were walking through the center of this town and noticed that the human body was inside a black bag. Passersby and owners of some businesses in the area, nervously, alerted the police of the event they witnessed at approximately 09:00 this Wednesday, October 30.
