Brazil. State of Sao Paulo. Beach area near Guaruja, 2009. 35 year old female tourist from Portugal (Isabella R.) was found strangled to death inside a small beach house she was renting for her vacation. She fell victim to the 20 year old local young man (Roberto S.), who was into athletics and bodybuilding. She had picked him up on the beach and they had spent 5 days together, with Roberto spending full time days and nights together with Isabella.

On the sixth day and while they were on the beach, he offered to go inside the beach house and make some cocktails for them. But once inside started to search through her belongings, looking for some of the valuable things that he could steal, knowing already what she had. Since Isabella would be leaving for Portugal in the evening and so unlikely to notice some things missing until arriving back home.

But he was unexpectedly caught in the act by Isabella, when she also decided to go inside the beach house right after taking a swim. She had took off her bikini right after walking in and probably was going to take a shower, to rinse off the beach sand from her body. And while walking towards the shower had saw Roberto looking through her things.

Confronting him, she had threatened to call police. Panicking, Roberto had grabbed a flashlight and hit Isabella hard on the side of her head, causing her to fall down. He then jumped on top of her and proceeded to strangle her to death. Then gathering whatever cash, jewelry, credit cards and other valuable things he could find and fleeing from the place.

Crime scene photo shows Isabella’s dead body, when the police got there after the cleaning lady went inside and saw her lying dead naked on the floor. Roberto was caught 2 days later and was sentenced to prison for her murder (no info regarding the length of prison time he got).
