A new tragedy unfolded on the morning of Tuesday, June 6, 2023, in the town of Ibagui (Tolema). On the La Variante bridge, better known as the Bridge of Life, a woman decided to jump into the void.

According to the region's media, the woman arrived at the place at about 9 in the morning to the bridge. She arrived by the ascending lane, in the direction of El Espinal Cajamarca, she ran to the railing and without saying a word she threw herself from the structure, which reaches a height of more than one hundred meters.
