The HPD released a bodycam video from an OIS on April 11th involving a suspect in a stolen vehicle who rammed a police car and got into a physical altercation with an officer; ultimately getting on top of the officer leading to the shooting.

Officials said the man had gotten on top of the officer and continued physically assaulting him, prompting the officer to pull out his duty weapon and shoot the suspect once.

The man was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said they believe the suspect was unarmed.
