On the morning of December 9, a serious traffic accident occurred in Lang Giang commune, resulting in the death of a motorcycle rider at the scene.

The accident took place at 9:08 AM on December 9 at Km 105+650 of National Highway 1A, in the Pho Voi area, Lang Giang commune, Bac Ninh province.

Images from the scene indicate the accident involved a tractor-trailer with license plate 98C - 344.96, driven by Pham Van Hai (born 1978, residing in Dong Tien residential group, Nenh ward, Bac Ninh) traveling in the Hanoi - Lang Son direction, and a motorcycle with license plate 98M1 - 062.xx traveling in the same direction on the right, driven by Ms. N.T.T (born 1976, residing in Noi To village, Lang Giang commune). The accident caused Ms. T to die at the scene.

The initial cause was determined to be Pham Van Hai overtaking another vehicle without ensuring safety.

The Traffic Police Department (Bac Ninh Provincial Police) advises that cars should only overtake other vehicles when safe conditions are ensured. Drivers must maintain a safe distance, observe carefully, and comply with road markings; when changing lanes, they must ensure they do not create obstacles for other vehicles.

Drivers of trucks and tractor-trailers need to pay attention to blind spots and the vehicle's inertia, and perform all maneuvers with caution. Motorcyclists should actively avoid the blind spots of large trucks and avoid riding too close to tractor-trailers, container trucks, or heavy-duty vehicles.
