Good job...didn't hesitate! - Happened yesterday in El Segundo, CA...small town near Los Angeles International Airport, Western Los Angeles County An El Segundo police officer rescued a trapped woman from her burning vehicle Sunday.

In video from the patrol car’s dashboard camera, Officer Armando Rodriguez is seen running to the burning vehicle to pull the 22-year-old female driver from her car. The four-door sedan collided with a utility pole around 6:10p.m. on Aviation Blvd. just north of El Segundo Blvd. Officer Rodriguez is heard calling for paramedics and checking to see if other passengers are in the backseat shortly before the car is engulfed in flames.

The footage shows three good Samaritans approach the car to check if others are in the back. Officer Rodriguez is heard calling for help and shouting for the others to get to safety. The El Segundo Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire shortly after. The driver was taken to the hospital with major trauma. She is currently in stable condition.

Officer Rodriguez was transported to the hospital after suffering smoke inhalation and minor burns. He has been released and is expected to return to work next week.
